ABOUT ME
Hi! I’m Jake — a lifelong dog lover with over 30 years of hands-on experience working with dogs, especially golden retrievers (my all-time favorite companions). I currently live with two of the sweetest golden boys you’ll ever meet, and they can’t wait to welcome new furry friends into their circle!
I founded Shoreline Paw Pal after realizing that my true passion in life is caring for dogs and giving their humans peace of mind. As life began returning to normal post-COVID, I saw how many dog parents were in need of a trustworthy, loving space for their pups while they’re at work or away. That’s where I come in.
My mission is simple: to make sure every dog feels safe, loved, and at home. What sets Shoreline Paw Pal apart is that we’re not a kennel — we’re a cozy, comfortable home where your dog can truly relax and be part of the pack. I also offer overnight services, so your pup is never without care.
*Please note: All dogs must be up-to-date on vaccinations and rabies shots. Documents must be presented at the meet and greet.

After a not so great experience with a previous dog walker/ sitter, I found Jake. I have a 3 year old Siberian Husky who took too Jake immediately. Nina hops right in his car without hesitation. Jake’s love for dogs is so evident and that leaves me feeling comfortable in entrusting my pup to him. Nina is happy and tired out from the play time with Jake. He is reliable, he keeps you posted with pics and videos, and is very courteous!

What towns do you service?We currently service Clinton, Killingworth, Westbrook, Old Saybrook, Madison, and Guilford. In certain situations, we may travel outside of our specified range for an additional fee.

Do you accept all breeds?Yes we accept all breeds and sizes, however, as far as boarding, breed and size will be up to my discretion.

Where do you bring the dogs on their walks?We go many many different local parks in the area including Clinton Town Beach, Hammonasset, Chatfield Hollow, various dog parks, ect.

How many days in advance do I need to schedule walks?You can schedule walks anytime! Preferably 24-72 hours in advance. We'll do our best to accommodate any last minute requests.

Do you offer pick-up services?Yes, we will pick up and drop off your dog, however, this is limited to a 15 mile radius for walking and 25 for boarding. Sorry for any inconvenience.

What payment methods do you accept?We accept all forms of payment: Credit/Debit card, Venmo, Apple Pay, Cash or Check.

Do you offer any discounts?Ask about our loyal customer discount! Customers who schedule 5 or more walks per week may receive a small discount. We also offer monthly packages for those who need walks on a consistent weekly basis.
